I.   This is a CHRISTIAN CAMP

You do not have to be a Christian to go, but you MUST commit yourself to participate in harmony with our Christian Values while you are on the trip.  Some specific rules are:

  • Absolutely no guns, fireworks, alcohol, or non-prescription drugs

  • Smoking is STRONGLY discouraged.  If you are addicted, please talk to Pastor Dave BEFORE THE TRIP.

  • Personal audio devices are permitted in the vehicles but are discouraged while camping.  Some of the goals of this trip are to commune with God, nature, each other.  Walkmans, etc. tend to isolate us. Pastor Dave will take appropriate action as needed.

  • Pastor Dave will lay out specific rules as we go along.  Most are based on practical "Wilderness Laws" to enjoy the wilderness safely, and to accomplish our trip goals.  In the event of accident or bad weather, the campers are instructed exactly what to do.  These must be followed without exception.

II.    The canoe trip is limited to participants who are responsible persons (meaning that they are capable of following rules without direct supervision).

  • The nature of this trip is such that young people are often without direct adult supervision at various times.

  • For example: Young people can take a canoe and go fishing, exploring or swimming for several hours at a time.  They cannot to go alone and must keep the base camp aware of their plans.  Campers never leave our lake without adult supervision.

  • Accordingly, those who prove to be irresponsible are restricted or sent home and are not invited back.
